Ellen has been with EY for 4 years, first as a life sciences analyst supporting thought leadership creation and more recently as the lead analyst for the Health Sciences & Wellness Industry market. Ellen’s areas of interest include: the impacts of the Fourth Industrial Revolution on life sciences business models,life sciences dealmaking and cross industry trends, such as healthy aging and the connected consumer. Other areas of work include: Firepower, EY’s annual life sciences M&A report; Beyond borders, EY’s annual biotech report; Pulse of the industry, EY’s annual medtech report; and drug reimbursement models.
Ellen has covered the life sciences industry for nearly 20 years, first as a journalist at BusinessWeek, then as an executive writer/editor for the biopharmaceutical group at Windhover Information, and its acquirer Elsevier. From 2011 until June 2013, Ellen worked as an analyst at the health care information-focused start-up Real Endpoints. Ellen holds a BA in Biochemistry from Swarthmore College and an M.
